SUSAN MITCHELL

Susan is based in Peebles and has been a full-time artist since graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 1991. Drawing inspiration from her farming background Susan paints wonderfully character-full watercolours of animals, with guinea fowl and sheep particular favourites.  She also produces ever popular etchings and limited edition prints of wild birds and animals.

Susan has exhibited at the Royal Highland Show each year since 1995 and regularly shows in Europe, taking part in exhibitions in Hungary, Denmark, Holland, Belgium and Slovenia. Her watercolours are also shown each year at the RSW Annual Exhibition in Edinburgh, where she won the John Gray award in 2009, and many other galleries in the U.K.
