MARY ANN ROGERS

Mary Ann lives and paints across the border in her native Northumberland and is fast gaining a reputation as one of the most exciting wildlife artists currently working. Mary Ann creates wonderfully original watercolours of all kinds of wildlife, birds, game, wild and tame, domestic and exotic animals and imbues them with a sense of real character and animation.

A recent article in the Scotsman perfectly sums up her appeal;

"The quick and lively work of Mary Ann Rogers is a real treat... her animals are depicted with a spine-tingling and inspiring virtuosity... she achieves a sense of oriental delicacy of touch which defies description."

Mary Ann has gained a considerable following in recent years and the open days at her studio near Hexham are always extremely popular. Her original watercolours are on permanent display at several galleries across the country including the Old Chapel Gallery, Herefordshire, The Braemar Gallery and the Upfront Gallery in Cumbria. Mary Ann also produces a range of prints of her work and was delighted to be awarded the coveted title of 'Best Selling Published Artist 2009', an award previously held by the likes of Jack Vettriano and Beryl Cook. Unusually, Mary Ann publishes her own work, overseeing every aspect both of the traditional offset lithographic fine art printing and the production of cards and gifts, which are all produced or finished in the North east of England.

Shown here is a small selection of the paintings and prints that Mary Ann has for sale. Please get in touch if you would like to see more examples.
