JULIA TROTTER
Julia creates wonderfully colourful and evocative landscapes and interiors, often drawing on her immediate surroundings for inspiration. She lives in the Scottish Borders and counts Bonnard, Renoir and Susan Ryder among her influences.
'With a life long interest in colour and texture, I have found a deep desire to put onto canvas the atmosphere and beauty of interiors, flowers, and gardens leading to views beyond. I feel so lucky to have lived and travelled in so many inspiring places'.
Following on from solo exhibitions at Frames Gallery, Perth and The Coldstream Gallery, Julia recently held an extremely successful exhibition at the Dundas Street Gallery, where her work was praised for its joyful use of texture and colour. Her work is becoming increasingly collectable and sits in many prominent private collections throughout the UK.
