LIZZIE MCCORQUODALE
Lizzie spent her childhood in East Lothian and the Scottish Borders. After obtaining a degree in Illustration from Edinburgh College of Art in 1986 she spent 18 years in the South, painting murals, illustrating, teaching and bringing up her two sons.
She now lives by the sea near Berwick-upon-Tweed, taking inspiration from her surroundings to paint seascapes and large abstracts.
'Every day when I am on the beach I watch the sea and sky. I am looking at how the light plays on clouds, how the waves roll towards me. With paint I try to find that light in the sky and create the different moods of the sea'.
